TIME TO SHOW EVERYONE WHAT HARPER IS REALLY ABOUT... AND SEALS Hello again everyone. It's time for another one of my rants on all things politics. There has been a lot in the news recently worth mentioning that I don't even know where to start. The House of Commons is set to reconvene on April 3rd with a Conservative government for the first time in 13 years. We are all anticipating what will come of this Harper-led minority government and if it will be able to operate through many of the obstacles that it is bound to face. The Speech from the Throne will be the first test for the new government. For those of you that don't know what the Speech from the Throne is it is basically an outline of what the new government wants to accomplish in this session of parliament and it is read by the Governor General. It is then voted on and hopefully it should be passed. The vote on the throne speech is considered a confidence vote whereby if the speech is not passed the government fail...
BACK FROM MY RANTING HIATUS It's been awhile since the last time I posted a rant on here and for that I apologize. Of course there are reasons behind my procrastination. Spring break, lots of birthdays, school, and work have all thrown their hats at me in recent weeks but now I am back... and better than ever. Today's rant will not have a specific focus other than catching up for both you and I on Canada's and the rest of the world's events. And what a busy couple of weeks it has been. There have been numerous international, national, and provincial headlines that have caused some serious controversy, change, and reaction from all over. So I will not procrastinate any longer and get right into it. The David Emerson appointment and crossing of the floor still remains to be an issue here in Canada as people have demanded his resignation or a byelection.
